Started to study the piano under Yuki Nogami when he was three years old. Joining a brass band club at his junior high school, he started to play the clarinet as well. In high school (Inagakuen Public High School), he majored in piano and also continued to play the clarinet in its brass band club, which received a gold prize in All-Kanto Band Competition. He went on to Musashino Academia Musicae, studying the clarinet under Yasuo Kaneuji, and performed in its graduation concert. While in college, he made a debut as a conductor when he led Inagakuen OB [alumni’s] Wind Orchestra to All-Japan Band Competition for the first time in its history. After graduation, he became a music teacher at Saitama Prefectural High School of the Arts, where he established and led a brass band to West Kanto Band Competition and received a gold prize four times there. Currently, while serving as the vice-president of Saitama Prefecture Band Association, he teaches at Saitama Koshigaya Minami High School and has also been awarded a gold prize four times at West Kanto Band Competition.
