The Da-An Junior High School String Orchestra
The Da-an Junior High School String Orchestra (DASO) is geographically enriched by its environments: while the school has a long tradition of music education, the Da-an District of the city of Taipei is known for its accomplishment in musical cultivation. Despite its short history of seven years, the DASO has been recognized for energy and vitality. One important factor of its success is the unwavering support from the school administration and the parental organization. Both the school and the parents are committed to the excellence of the DASO. Within these years, the DASO has distinguished itself in numerous musical contests and extracurricular activities. The 68 members of the DASO, mostly seventh-graders and eighth-graders, are trained with superior skills in string instruments, and we look forward to young talents’ participation in our family of music.
